Together ... Making a Memory

Funeral Planning

Funeral Service Considerations

We understand this is such a difficult time for you and your family. You may wonder "why choose Horizon Funerals?"

Our question to you - What is the end result you are seeking?

It may come as a surprise that not all funerals are equal. While searching for 'inclusions and pricing' this doesn't guarantee the quality of the final farewell. The end result is unspoken and intangible. It isn't measured by factual products and inclusions. The end results are the emotions you are left with, whether they are ones of some comfort and satisfaction that the service was exactly what you and your loved one would have wanted. Whether you felt your requests were heard and carried out, whether we liased with your family in a respectful, listening, caring and understanding manner and whether you have been left with the experience of having had an integral part of a loving and fitting farewell.

Ian and Carol, along with the entire Horizon team are dedicated to serve you and your family, going above and beyond to provide a Professional, yet meaningful, comforting service. When you choose Horizon to serve your family, the set office hours cease as they become your own personal, dedicated arrangers that you can phone, email or txt anytime day or night; there to support you every step of the way.

Providing a memorable service to honour your loved one, to help soften that sadness, one that leaves you with a measure of warmth and a feeling that this was a very fitting farewell for your loved one and where your expectation was fulfilled, is our sole focus. It is natural that grieving will still take place, the loss of your loved one's presence will be ongoing and leave you aching, but one thing you may be comforted in, is your loved ones final farewell was the best it could have been and your requests have been a major part of a this lasting memory.

Time and again, many of our guests being from a senior generation; having attended multiple funeral services say the same thing, "We've never been to a funeral like it. It was beautiful".

Some country areas charge a lot less for a new burial plot; local Councils can be approx $5000. The information of fees are generally available on the Council Websites.

When families already own a family plot, the requirement becomes a "re-opening fee", therefore the fee is only a percentage of full costs.
